Urge Madison County to explore public sewer alternatives

Our petition asks the Madison County Commission, working with appropriate public authorities, to independently evaluate whether another qualified, publicly accountable provider could legally and practically serve neighborhoods using Integra Water.

That means comparing complete sewer bills, fees, infrastructure, financing, maintenance, reliable service, resident protections, and the risks of changing operators. The findings should be released publicly.

The request, not a guaranteed outcome

Why are we asking?

Integra-served households cannot generally choose a competing sewer utility for their home. We want to know whether public operation, a negotiated transfer, or stronger regulation would offer better value and accountability.

We are not demanding an immediate takeover. The petition asks for a serious, independent study of the options and their real costs before officials decide what, if anything, should change.
